Why it’s important in business
Creativity is a muscle that is flexed in more than just the visual scope.
While I’ve always been a visual person, my external expressions are formed internally through creative thought, play, and intuitive trust. This helps me form a visual language. Beyond visuals, it’s the same muscle I use for business strategy, solution-based thinking, and it’s what I tap into when creating something unexpected whether it’s a photograph, experience, or the way words are formed in a sentence. A creative role within a company, should be one that examines creative energy throughout. If the business strategy is creative, if the experiences are creative, so too should be the visuals. I truly believe creative opportunity is infinite and the possibilities are endless.
WHY WILD TERRAINS?
I think it was when I lost my parents that I realized there are two things that make this life worth everything…
The relationships we keep & the experiences we have
Both of these demand connection to people and the world around us. Sound familiar? I’ve seen and experienced that these are the pillars of Wild Terrains. I value these roots and am invested in watering them. I want to use my energy to support expansive adventures, lasting memories, and be that connective tissue for women both near and far.
While I have spent most of my career freelancing my way around the world, I feel so clear that my next chapter is really about tending to the above in a way that makes lasting change and impact. While it has been a blast photographing fancy hotels, my creative hunger has lately been left aching as these creative projects end in pretty photos for the corporate machine but are lacking in the soul connection department. I would love to lend my talents to a company that I believe in and am inspired by… insert, Wild Terrains. Meaningful work is what I’m after and I believe that is what Wild Terrains offers.
POLISH WHAT IS ALREADY SHINY
Wild Terrains already is a cutie, i’m here to polish and expand on what you’ve already built. I would love to create a community and traveler-forward visual tone that goes beyond static photos. I want to see and hear from the travelers. I would like to maintain a feeling of an open, collaborative, and inclusive brand by using both professional and carefully selected traveler content as to not make potential or current travelers feel like an outsider. Having had first-hand experience on Wild Terrains trips, the goal would be to match the visuals to the authentic experience. I’ve pulled together some ideas I’ve linked to below.

Below are a list of things I believe I can expand on within Wild Terrains.
I am open to all of these and anything else you think could benefit the brand or that would match with my skillset.
Design or visual needs: Products, graphics, social ads, basically anything that needs a design hand, I am on deck.
Social media creation/calendar: Create engaging content that is community forward. I would love to get travelers and trip leaders involved in social media content. This would mean engaging with travelers who are interested in sharing their experience and collaborating on storytelling.
Newsletter: design/create and introduce animation.
Push shop items! We could really push the guides forward with engaging content that links to the shop.
Shoot any new products that land in the shop!
Website: Well versed in squarespace and can redesign as needed!
If you ever want to beef up content with a journal or blog of sorts, I could lead that. Would be great for SEO and also newsletter content!
Talent outreach if Wild Terrains needs a photographer/videographer for any project. (Would love to find local or local-ish talent in destinations)
Provide and prep any photographers with inspo/guide deck to help inspire them and let them know if we have any specific needs.
